Morton Plant Hospital registered dietitian Nadine Pazder spoke to Bay News 9 this week about a new FDA warning for “acrylamides,” a chemical found to cause cancer. Acrylamides can be found in fried foods, as well as coffee, crackers, or baked goods that are burnt.
Nadine cautioned not to eat burned food and to pay close attention to recipe directions when baking.
